  3. Structure Study Material

  5. Rehearse Content
  6. Association & Visualisation
  7. Teach Others
Remove Distractions
Turn off your phone
Disconnect your Internet
Close the Door (Do Not Disturb Sign)
Keep your desk clean and clear
Work Full Screen on your Computer

Plan Study Sessions
Decide when you will work and when you will rest
Create a structured study / work timetable
Study for frequent but short durations
Build variety into your plan. (Don't spend too long on one topic)
Establish a working routine

Structure Study Material
Tackle the hardest material first
Highlight and 'box' important information
Use images / audio / mind maps etc

Utilize Mnemonics
Checkout this link for more detailed information on mnemonics:
"There have been studies that have shown that human nature remembers the most rediculous things. We need to use this to our advantage when trying to remember ideas, facts and information. Let’s say you need to go to the store and get oranges, celery and bread. Use the ridiculous to your favor. Think of the celery with two orange eyeball that is lying on a bed of bread. The more crazy, insane and ridiculous that you make things the easier it is going to be to remember it."
Rehearse Content
Go over study material over and over again.
Follow online tutorials for extra help.

Association and Visualisation
Associate material with content you are familiar with
Visualise passing your exams / coursework (LOA - Law of Attraction)

Teach Others
Teaching others often improves your own understanding

Lumosity
I haven't had an opportunity to check this out yet, but LUMOSITY looks promising:
